The Care2U team is proud to announce that during the fall of 2023, Care2U Chief Medical Officer Kevin G. Munjal, MD was honored at the 2023 Empire Whole Health Heroes Awards, accepting the award for his professional accomplishments in New York Healthcare, and on behalf of Care2U.
Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield established the Empire Whole Health Heroes Awards in 2020 as a part of their goal to improve the health of every single New Yorker. In line with their mission, this year Empire identified business leaders who are:
- Leading the innovation of a drug, medical treatment, or new procedure
- Implementing employee wellness strategies within their organization to promote mental and overall health
- Advancing financial health in their community
- Improving social health by using their influence in their organization and their broader community
The award ceremonies kicked off on Tuesday September 26th with a ceremony of recognition held at Citi Field in Queens, during a New York Mets game. Dr. Munjal was in attendance, alongside other honorees from around New York.

On November 28, Dr. Munjal was presented with the 2023 Whole Health Heroes Award at an awards luncheon in Manhattan, alongside this year's other honorees. Congratulations to Dr. Munjal and to the entire Care2U team on this award!
