Position Overview:
Associate Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical operations, training, and dispatch support within the organization. This individual will play a vital role in onboarding high-quality healthcare professionals while ensuring they receive comprehensive training to deliver exceptional patient care. Additionally, this role supports field operations and dispatch oversight while maintaining hands-on clinical experience as a field provider one day per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Training & Development:
- Lead or oversee clinical training programs for physicians, PAs, NPs, paramedics, and dispatchers.
- Develop and maintain training curricula, ensuring competency in both clinical skills and operational protocols.
- Conduct ongoing education, skills assessments, and performance evaluations to uphold care quality standards.
- Work closely with medical leadership to implement best practices and continuous education initiatives. (CME, Call Audit events).
- Assist with Field evaluation and QA/QI as well as oversee and assist field training officers to get new hires ready to be independent.
Operational Support & Dispatch Oversight:
- Assist the Director of Operations with oversight of field operations, dispatch and Logistics.
- Ensure dispatchers and field teams operate efficiently, meeting patient care and safety standards.
- Identify and address operational challenges to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Support protocol development and compliance with clinical and operational standards.
- Keep up to date with best practices and technology and assist with implementation.
- Assist with oversight of logistics and fleet management. Ensure units are operating daily with everything they need.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and tech updates when needed.
- Assist with inventory management and par levels at each office location.
- Assist with maintenance and preventative maintenance of vehicles and ensuring compliance with all DMV guidelines and updates.
Field Clinical Role:
- Maintain active clinical experience by working as a field provider one day per week (PA, NP, or paramedic).
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring alignment with company clinical protocols.
- Serve as a role model for best practices, patient interaction, and adherence to company guidelines.
- Assist in the field when surge capacity is met and cover call outs as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Clinical licensure as a Paramedic.
- Experience in clinical recruitment, training, and leadership preferred.
- Strong background in medical education, mentorship, or training program development.
- Experience in field operations, dispatch management, or EMS administration is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
